Andreas Mentel has been working as a consultant throughout his professional life. A graduate in computer science and mathematics, he has extensive experience in line management at the interface of business and IT, strong project management skills and a practical "get things done" attitude.

For him it is important that vision, business development and implementation are balanced. Challenging ideas, looking for new perspectives and implementing changes - this is what makes consulting fascinating for him. Additionally, to provide neutral and objective an outside in view. As a consultant he strives to become a trusted advisor by working in a transparent and reliable fashion and allowing the stakeholders to understand and recognize why activities are being perfomed.

He has been a partner of Prospire since 2020 and has jointly conducted projects beforehand. He was CEO of the Impaq Group (IT consulting Firm) in a turnaround and crisis situation. At Swisscom IT Services he headed the Healthcare and Insurance Division, and at Capgemini Switzerland he was Deputy Managing Director for four years. He co-founded the consulting company Synpulse, where he also the Prospire founder Nikolaus Guido. He was Head of Consulting at Texas Instruments Software and started his career as a consultant with Andersen Consulting in Australia, England, Germany and Switzerland. As the son of German parents, he grew up in Australia and studied Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Sydney.
Andreas Mentel, who always tries to combine his job with learning and pleasure, enjoys classic and vintage cars as well as following Le Mans and other motorsport events privately. Lately, he is devoting himself more to nature again. Especially water related sports and activities, for example for SUP (stand up paddling). Which relates back to his surfing at Australian beaches during his youth.
